We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our nursery setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your childcare expertise and leadership skills to support children's development and learning. The Nursery Practitioner will work closely with colleagues and parents to ensure the highest standards of care and education are maintained.
Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging activities that promote children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
Supervise children during playtime, meals, and rest periods, ensuring their safety at all times
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines
Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication
Organise and manage daily nursery routines in line with organisational policies
Support new staff members through guidance and mentorship, demonstrating management and leadership skills
Ensure the nursery environment is clean, safe, and welcoming in accordance with health and safety regulations
Assist with organising outings or trips that enhance children's learning experiences
Contribute to the ongoing development of nursery programmes in collaboration with the team
Skills
Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early childhood education setting
Strong management and leadership abilities to oversee daily operations effectively
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Childcare qualifications or relevant early childhood education credentials are highly desirable
Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and team members
Organised with good time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently
Valid driving licence is advantageous for organising outings or transporting children when necessary
Passionate about child development with a caring attitude towards young learners

Pay: From 12.21 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
