We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursery and childcare settings, demonstrating the ability to create a nurturing environment for children. This role involves engaging with children, promoting their development, and ensuring their safety and well-being. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in shaping the early experiences of children and supporting their growth.
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Create stimulating and engaging activities that promote children's learning and development across all areas.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster positive relationships and support children's individual needs.
Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and play activities, ensuring a safe and organised environment.
Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to inform planning and support each child's development.
Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming nursery environment.
Drive initiatives that promote inclusivity and diversity within the nursery setting.
Skills
Proven experience in nursery or childcare settings is essential.
Strong communication skills in English to interact effectively with children and families.
Leadership qualities to guide and support junior staff members or volunteers within the nursery.
Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a calm and organised approach.
A genuine passion for working with young children and fostering their development through play-based learning.
A qualification in Early Childhood Education or related field is desirable but not mandatory.

Full-time hours are 40 per week on a shift rota. Part-time hours and days of work can be discussed at interview.
