We are currently looking for a qualified level 3 nursery practitioner to join our small work team.

We are a small team who work within the premises of Everlast Gym. We have been operating from here for over 12 years. We are proud to have received an OFSTED rating of good in March 2023.

Schedule:

Monday to Friday between the hours of 7am - 7pm (you will be working no longer than 10 hour shifts per day)

The overall job role:

To support the senior with the daily running of the room. To ensure the room and resources are safe and appropriate for children, staff and others. To develop partnerships with parents/carers to increase involvement in their child's development. To take on the role of being a key person, observing, assessing and planning for each individual child.

You'll be expected to:

Support the senior with the effective daily running of your room. You will be expected to deliver and ensure a high standard of learning, development and care for children aged 0-5 years. Take responsibility for excellent hygiene, health and safety and security practices within the nursery. Have a sound knowledge of company policies, procedures and expectations. Act as an excellent role model to the staff team and children. Uphold a high level of safeguarding practice and ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to at all times. Assist with planning and assessment in your room with your key children. Work closely with parents and create trusting relationships with all families. Play a part in planning and providing appropriate daily activities in line with guidance from the EYFS for your key children. To work with outside professionals where required. To work as part of the team within your room and the wider setting.

Essential Qualifications

Minimum level 3 certification in early years or equivalent Minimum 1 year of experience in childcare Knowledge of the Early Years Sector and the EYFS A good standard of English and Maths at GCSE A-C or equivalent

Desirable for the job

Any recent additional childcare related CPD courses i.e. safeguarding, food hygiene etc. SENCO experience is highly desired.
