We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in early childhood education and demonstrate exceptional leadership skills. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children, ensuring their safety, development, and well-being. Your ability to communicate effectively with both children and parents will be essential in fostering positive relationships within the nursery setting.
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Plan and implement engaging activities that promote children's learning and development across all areas.
Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to track their development.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all children and families.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and daily activities.
Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and play sessions, ensuring a smooth flow of activities.
Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive team atmosphere that encourages professional growth and development.
Uphold nursery policies and procedures, particularly regarding health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
A relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare (Level 2 or Level 3).
Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
Ability to drive initiatives that enhance the nursery's educational offerings.
Knowledge of child safeguarding practices and commitment to promoting children's welfare.
