Broadway Daycare is a popular, well-established nursery setting situated on Laceby Acres, Grimsby.

We offer childcare places to children aged between 6 months and 5 years, from 8am - 6pm Monday to Friday.

Due to an increase in numbers, we are looking to recruit a Level 3, experienced early years practitioner to join our lively family team from September 2025. We are looking to hire an Early Years Practitioner to work between 28-37.5 hours per week, hours and days or job share can be negotiable for the right candidate.

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the development and well-being of young children. If you can read a book upside down, whilst dressed as a pirate and drinking the world's best pretend tea, then this is the job for you!

Duties

Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Plan and implement engaging activities that support children's learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social, emotional, and cognitive growth. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns. Manage daily routines, including mealtimes, nap times, and play activities, ensuring a smooth flow of the day. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised nursery environment that is conducive to learning and exploration. Drive initiatives that promote inclusivity and diversity within the nursery setting.
Requirements

Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential. A full and relevant level 3 qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development. Ability to drive initiatives that enhance the nursery experience for both children and families. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt to changing situations.
