Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our brand new nursery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with children in a nursery setting. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and education to young children, fostering their development through engaging activities and a nurturing environment.

Responsibilities

Provide a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for children aged 0-5 years. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development across all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to support their individual learning journeys. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and ensure the best outcomes for each child. Work collaboratively with the nursery team to maintain high standards of care and education. Support the management in maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and nursery procedures. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or Childcare (Level 2 or Level 3). Previous experience working in a nursery or childcare setting is essential. Strong management and leadership skills to guide less experienced staff when necessary. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development. Ability to drive is desirable for potential off-site activities or outings. A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated on best practices in early years education.
