We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. Your ability to communicate effectively with both children and parents will be essential in fostering positive relationships within the nursery setting.
Duties
Provide high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years.
Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records of their development.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on their child's progress and well-being.
Manage daily routines, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for all children.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a supportive team atmosphere.
Drive initiatives that enhance children's learning experiences through creative play and exploration.
Demonstrate leadership skills by mentoring junior staff and supporting their professional development.
Qualifications
A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent experience in childcare is essential.
Previous experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are required to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a calm and positive attitude.
A passion for nurturing children's development through play-based learning.
A valid driving licence is preferred but not mandatory.
