Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and early childhood education to children in a nurturing and safe environment. The ideal applicant will have experience with children, strong communication skills, and a passion for early childhood education. A valid driving licence is preferred.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development. Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children at all times. Manage daily routines including meal times, nap times, and play sessions with organisation and care. Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages children's social and emotional needs. Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behaviour, and any concerns. Maintain accurate records of children's development and daily activities. Assist in organising nursery events, outings, and educational visits as required. Contribute to the ongoing development of nursery policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early years setting Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education practices Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Early Years or equivalent are essential Ability to organise tasks efficiently whilst maintaining a caring approach towards children

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From 12.25 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
