We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join our nursery team. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about outdoor learning and committed to providing high-quality care and education for young children aged 9 months - 4 years in a natural environment. This role is perfect for someone who loves working with children and is excited about the opportunities that a forest school setting provides.
Key Responsibilities:
-Planning and Implementation: Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote learning through play and exploration in an outdoor setting in line with the EYFS framework to meet the needs of the children in their age group.
- Child Development: Support the individual developmental needs of each child, fostering their physical, emotional, social, and intellectual growth.
- Environment Management: Ensure the forest school/nursery environment is safe, stimulating, and welcoming, maintaining equipment and materials as needed.
- Observation and Assessment: Conduct regular observations and assessments, documenting children's progress and planning next steps in their learning journey.
- Parent Communication: Build strong relationships with parents and carers, providing regular updates on their child's progress and wellbeing.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues, sharing best practices and supporting each other to create a positive team environment.
- Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education and forest school methodologies.
Qualifications and Experience: - Level 3 Qualification: Hold a recognized Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience working in an early years setting, preferably with experience in outdoor/forest school environments.
- First Aid: Paediatric First Aid certification.
- Safeguarding: Thorough understanding of safeguarding practices and procedures.
