In this role, you'll use your core strengths in childcare, communication, and early years education to help shape young minds, while also applying leadership skills to mentor and guide junior staff.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality care and education, ensuring the health, safety, and emotional well-being of all children.
Plan, prepare, and implement age-appropriate activities that support the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Observe, assess, and record children's progress and development, maintaining accurate records.
Build strong, positive relationships with children, parents, and carers, sharing updates and addressing individual needs.
Collaborate effectively with colleagues to create a stimulating and supportive nursery environment.
Support nursery leadership in overseeing daily operations and providing guidance to less experienced team members.
Adhere to safeguarding policies, health & safety regulations, and nursery protocols at all times.
Skills & Experience Required
Level 3 qualification in Early Years and Childcare (e.g. NNEB, CACHE, NVQ Level 3).
Sound understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience in a nursery or early years setting.
Ability to work well as part of a team and independently.
Leadership potential or prior experience mentoring junior staff is desirable.
A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach to working with young children.
