Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the development and well-being of young children. The Nursery Practitioner will play a vital role in supporting children's learning through play, ensuring their safety, and fostering positive relationships with both children and their families.

Duties

Provide high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years, following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Develop and implement engaging activities that promote children's physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development. Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming nursery environment that encourages exploration and learning. Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to support the individual needs of each child. Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to inform planning and development. Collaborate with team members to ensure effective communication and teamwork within the nursery setting. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or Childcare (Level 2 or above). Previous nursery experience or experience working with children in a similar setting is essential. Strong management and leadership skills to guide less experienced staff when necessary. Excellent communication skills in English to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues. A genuine passion for childcare and an understanding of child development principles. Driving licence preferred but not mandatory; ability to travel may be required for certain roles or activities.
