Job Description

This super little nursery in Uckfield is recruiting a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner.

The salary range is 26,000 to 29,000 a year, depending on experience, and you'll receive a tax-free lump sum of 1,000 after 6 months.

You'll work in a great team and with a lovely, floor-based Manager, contribute to the planning and to the success of the nursery as a whole. We like to promote from within when we can.

We'll help you learn our routines and to incorporate your planning ideas into our planning cycle. The parents are super-supportive of our educational approach.

Ideally we'd like you to work 40 hours a week but part-time hours are possible. We are open all-year-round. There is free car parking close by and we're on the main bus routes.

Responsibilities

To get to know the children and their families. (You'll develop a strong bond with children and parents and become an important part of their family life.)

To help the children learn new skills and independence.

To plan the children's activities. Our paperwork is kept to a minimum so you can spend time with the children.

Candidate requirements

Level 3 Childcare qualification or above.

Good knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

You'll need to be articulate and confident. You'll be a Key Person capable of developing a partnership with parents.

Forest School qualifications would be beneficial as would an interest in Montessori.
