We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. Duties
Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote learning, socialisation, and development in line with curriculum standards
Supervise and support children during play, mealtimes, rest periods, and outdoor activities
Foster a safe environment by adhering to health and safety regulations and maintaining cleanliness of the nursery area
Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication
Observe and record children's progress, behaviour, and developmental milestones
Assist in organising daily routines and ensuring smooth operation of nursery activities
Lead and mentor junior staff members or apprentices as required
Manage administrative tasks related to child records and activity planning
Drive nursery vehicles for outings or transportation of children when necessary
Requirements
Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent
Strong management and leadership skills to oversee daily nursery operations effectively
Hold a Paediatric First Aid qualification (or are willing to undertake)
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices
Ability to build trusting relationships with children, parents, and team members
Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting children or equipment
Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
Proven experience working with children within a nursery or childcare setting
