We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Level 5 Childcare Practitioner to create a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children and staff members. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and the ability to manage various activities that promote children's development. This role requires excellent communication skills and a commitment to fostering positive relationships with children and their families and also to have the skills to lead a team of motivated staff members.
Duties
Responsible for the day to day operations of the facility
To ensure the legal requirements are met within the facility
To ensure staff operate within the organisations policies and procedures.
To ensure all staff have been provided with all necessary training.
To support and supervise staff on a day to day basis.
To assist in the production of management reports and attend meetings.
To assist with recruitment.
To create Rotas on weekly basis
Management of bookings and removal of bookings when necessary.
To keep up to date records as stipulated by social services and the requirements of the organisation
Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times.
Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development.
Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and playtime.
Communicate effectively with children to encourage their participation in activities.
Maintain a clean and organised nursery environment.
Collaborate with parents to discuss children's progress and any concerns.
Drive to various locations as needed for outings or activities.
Keep accurate records of children's attendance and developmental milestones.
Skills
Strong leadership abilities to guide and inspire staff and children in a group setting.
Experience in childcare or early childhood education is highly desirable.
Proficient in English with excellent communication skills to interact with children and parents effectively.
Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a calm demeanour.
A genuine love for working with children and understanding their needs.
Capability to drive safely when required for outings or activities.
