Responsibilities

Safely operate flatbed lorries across designated routes, adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies. Load and unload goods efficiently while ensuring the securement of cargo during transit. Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues promptly. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding schedules and delivery updates. Follow all traffic laws and company procedures to ensure safety at all times. Assist with loading and unloading when required, demonstrating flexibility in duties. Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles. Strong driving skills with a clean driving record. Familiarity with delivery procedures and route planning. Excellent organisational skills to manage schedules efficiently. Ability to operate various types of lorry equipment safely and effectively. Good communication skills for liaising with clients and team members. Prior experience as a delivery driver is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided where necessary.
