Duties

Operate flatbed lorries to transport goods efficiently and safely across designated routes Ensure all cargo is securely loaded and properly balanced before transit Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies during deliveries Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery times and fuel efficiency Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance logs Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding schedules, delays, or issues encountered during transit Assist with loading and unloading cargo when required, ensuring proper handling procedures are followed

Experience

Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles or similar equipment Delivery driver experience preferred, with a strong understanding of route planning and time management Valid driving licence suitable for operating large vehicles (category C or equivalent) Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in freight transportation Ability to operate heavy vehicles safely under varying weather conditions and terrains Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and vehicle maintenance
