We are seeking a reliable and skilled Wagon Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting bulk Dairy Liquids safely and efficiently all over the UK, ROI, NI & EU, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, the ability to manage routes effectively & a keen eye regarding cleanliness and food safety. Working a rolling shift of 4/4, 6/2 or 5/3 tramping.

Responsibilities

Drive wagons to deliver goods to various locations as per the scheduled routes. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain accurate delivery logs and adhere to all legal requirements regarding transport regulations. Communicate effectively with the planners regarding delivery status and any potential delays. Ensure that all cargo is loaded and sealed properly before departure and during transit. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any inquiries or concerns from clients whilst adhering to site rules.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driving licence (C+E) with a clean driving record. Experience as a wagon driver or in commercial driving preferred, particularly with tankers, but training will be given. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in logistics. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules. Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
