Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled HGV Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to navigate various routes. Experience in commercial driving and curtainsided operations is highly desirable.

Duties

Operate lorries in a safe and efficient manner while adhering to all road regulations. Deliver goods to designated locations, ensuring timely arrival and proper handling of cargo. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. Assist with loading and unloading cargo as necessary, particularly for flatbed deliveries. Ensure compliance with all company policies and safety regulations during transport.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driving licence (C+E or equivalent) and Driver CPC is essential. Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, particularly with articulated lorries, is preferred. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for safe driving. Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with local routes Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members and clients. A commitment to maintaining high standards of professionalism while representing the company on the road.
