Job Specification - Multi purpose role

Ian Chamberlain Groundworks Limited are currently seeking a person to cover a varied role including but not limited too; driving of 7.5T vehicle, multi-drop deliveries, set up/clearances, plant movement and basic site work.

Ian Chamberlain Groundworks Limited is a small, personally run business based in the Cotswolds and has run as an established company for over 20 years. The business holds an excellent reputation within the industry, working hard to ensure we provide a high level of customer service with a high standard of workmanship. The majority of our works are for private domestic clients or small developers, all within an hour of Cirencester.

There is no requirement for travel or working away. This position is 7.30am until 5pm Monday to Friday.

This is an employed position which will include some site work.

This role requires the applicant to be physically fit as there is lifting and carrying of materials and equipment involved, and manual handling.

Due to our location and nature of our business, driving is essential therefore we request applicants must hold a full (clean) UK driving licence and have their own transport to and from our yard.

This role also demands holding entitlement to drive 7.5T vehicles, for which the applicant would ideally have a clean licence with no endorsements and a digital tacho card.

A basic general knowledge of construction materials and local area would be beneficial but not essential.

All offers of employment will be subject to reference, medical and DBS checks. The company may also conduct random drug and alcohol testing.

Objectives

Driving of 7.5T vehicle in accordance with regulations. Delivery/collection of plant, materials and equipment to our sites. Site work.

Reporting

Reporting to the director - Ian Chamberlain

Key Responsibilities

Driving of 7.5T tipper in line with tacho regulations & other company vehicles/vans Complying with LGV legislation - vehicle inspections, reporting and safety Deliveries to various sites Physical loading/unloading of materials, multi drop deliveries Complying with Health and Safety policy and procedures General duties as required by the Company Ensure company property is looked after & accounted for

Physically fit for duties that will include lifting & carrying Basic knowledge of construction materials & local area Conscientious, organised Ability to think ahead and give consideration to the job at hand, using initiative Use of power tools Self-motivated, keen to learn and prepared to work in outdoor conditions Reliable and punctual

Education/Experience

Must hold a clean, valid full UK driving licence including 7.5T entitlement Digital tacho card No previous Groundworks experience required, but need a positive & proactive approach
