Schenk UK formally known as Suttons Tankers are an innovative national tanker haulage business, that operates a nationwide road tanker fleet which has been successfully serving the chemicals, gas, fuels, waste, and powders sectors for over 60 years, and is the largest chemical transporter in the UK.
The Role:
We are looking for an experienced LGV Driver (Class 1 ADR) to join our team based at our Stockton depot, working Monday - Friday Days. There may be requirements to night out as and when.
You will work across multiple sectors within our business covering our contract with Nippon, general chemicals and powders contracts. This role requires you to be flexible in the duties you carry out.
Pay Rates:
Pay rates will vary according to the sector you are working on.
Nippon Contract
13.71 hourly rate
20.56 bank holiday working
16.60 Night shift rate
39.41 Night out
General Chemicals
14.27 hourly rate
21.41 per hour over time Monday to Friday after 8 hours and first 5 hours on Saturdays.
28.54 per hour over time after 5 hours worked on Saturdays and Sundays/Bank holidays
Powders/Alpek
14.05 hourly rate
14.05 over time rate (Flat rate Monday to Friday)
18.16 over time rate Weekends
28.11 Bank Holiday rate
FULLY PAID BREAKS and paid ADR & CPC Refreshers
Essential Requirements:
An LGV Class 1 licence with no more than six points
A tachograph card
A Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence)
A valid ADR licence all classes other than 1 & 7
A strong understanding of Driver Transport Legislation
A safety focus
Minimum 2 years Class 1 experience
Minimum 2 years Tanker Experience
In addition, overtime is available, CPC training hours, courses and CPC accreditation and driver medicals are all paid for. Full PPE is provided.
