To operate within the detailed requirements as specified in the Drivers Handbook (Doc 6.5.1) Briefly comprising:

1. Safe and Efficient driving

2. Ensure that their vehicle is maintained in a good working order and in compliance with current working Statutes.

3. Daily check list completed and any defects are reported to the responsible persons in a timely manner.

4. To ensure their vehicle is in a clean and tidy condition.

5. To ensure that the vehicle is loaded correctly and that material is transported to the correct customers in a compliant manner.

6. To be aware of temperature requirements of load.

7. To report any delays or breakdowns to Rugby Transport department immediately.

8. To report any hazards to Rugby Transport department immediately.

9. To report any infringements / endorsements received

As per the details specified within Section 4 of the Drivers Handbook and Employee Handbook.

To report and clear up any spillages immediately, obtaining specialist assistance where required.

To operate equipment only where suitable training has been completed.

To operate that equipment safely in line with that training.

To ensure that all defects are reported to the line manager or responsible persons.

To operate in a manner that protects the Health & Safety of one's self and others. To ensure standards and expectations regarding security are met. In particular all requirements of HCDGs are adhered to. Fully participate and engage with initiatives including the Behaviour Based Safety programme and commitment to Operation Clean Sweep. Liaising with HWC management to help ensure all Drivers work in accordance with Health & Safety at Work Act. To always set a good example to other employees. To maintain and improve site housekeeping standards. To carry out routine safety checks and procedures where requested. To participate in site safety meetings and implement safety improvements within area of responsibility.
To be numerate and accurate.

Knowledge of transport and warehousing systems i.e. E-Pod and Pre-Drive

Relevant LGV licence

ADR licence (where applicable)

Ability to effectively communicate with HW Coates personnel and customers.

Pay: 40,845.00 per year
