The ASH Group is a family owned business. ASH Waste Services Ltd is a leading provider of waste management and resource solutions with depots across the UK.

An opportunity has arisen at our South Yorkshire Depot for an LGV Driver to join our trade waste collections team servicing non-hazardous commercial and industrial waste wheelie bins and REL containers across south and west Yorkshire.

The LGV (Class 2) Driver role involves driving a trade refuse collection vehicle on a dedicated route to each customer location (listed in order on an a handheld device), emptying the bins at each location into the truck and then confirming jobs have been completed on the handheld device. The working day starts from 06.00 hrs Monday to Friday including Bank Holidays (not including the Christmas Holiday and Easter Monday). Occasional Saturday work may be required especially around Bank Holidays.

The successful candidate will have a current LGV (Class 2 (C) licence and must have experience of driving a 32 tonne wagon together with a current driver CPC. Rear steer vehicle experience is an advantage although not essential. The job involves interaction with customers in some instances. Good communication and inter-personal skills will be required in this job. The successful candidate must be able to undertake physical duties (pushing wheelie bins), work as part of a team, and complete daily work allocations.

A monthly driver bonus scheme of up to 160 is payable to drivers that keep their vehicles clean and tidy and maintain a zero vehicle accident rate. 20 days paid holiday per year plus 8 paid Bank Holiday Days.

Pay: 14.00-21.00 per hour
