Reporting to: Centre ManagerSalary: 25,000 to 27,000 dependent on experienceAbout N-Gaged Training LimitedN-Gaged Training Limited is a well-established company, growing over the last 12 years to become one of the largest providers of logistics and construction training in the South West. We have delivery sites across the South West and have links with several colleges, with whom we work in partnership. We specialise in supporting adult learners to gain the skills and knowledge to succeed in a workplace environment.Job Summary:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day training of candidates, carrying out vehicle checks and the wellbeing and safety of candidates when on or off site
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver and facilitate the training required.
  • Review learner progress and discuss the outcomes.
  • Complete a written review for candidates at the end of driving tests.
  • Get the candidate to the DVSA standard in regard to the driving test.
  • Educating applicants on how to drive safely, by developing their skills needed to pass the DVSA driving test.
  • To carryout daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
  • To be aware of DVSA test routes.
  • Ensure that candidates have the correct entitlement for the category of vehicle they are going to be driving.
  • On first meeting the candidate the LGV Driving instructor to issue the show me tell me questions for all categories being driven, if the candidate is driving a CE vehicle, then the uncouple / re-couple procedure must be issued as well.
  • Demonstrate all vehicle controls and carryout the cockpit drill. The LGV Driving instructor will check the condition and security of the load being carried.
  • Drive all vehicles in and out of the compound.
  • Work towards and support the Company?EUR(TM)s vision and the objectives.
  • Ensure personal conduct complies with the requirements of the financial regulations and strive to ensure that the Company receives best value in all activities.
  • Act responsibly in using resources and contribute to, and comply with, efforts and initiatives to reduce carbon emissions.
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of children, young persons, and other vulnerable people for whom you are responsible and whom you come into contact with.
  • Be responsible for own safety and not endanger that of colleagues/visitors to the workplace.
  • Reflect critically on own professional practice and discuss annually, at performance review, how performance can be improved and where appropriate agree what actions can be taken for further improvement.
  • Undertake such other duties as may reasonably be required commensurate with the general level of responsibility, at the normal place of work or at any another Company location.
