LGV Driver (Class 2) - Waste & Recycling Services
Location: Rotherham
Contract Type: Full-time |On going temp
Pay: 13.69 - 14.59 per hour (subject to experience)
(Pay for this position is currently under active review for potential improvement.)
We're looking for a skilled LGV Driver to support the safe collection of waste and recyclables from residential and commercial properties. You'll operate a collection vehicle, lead a small crew, and update service data using the Bartec 'in-cab' system.
Key Requirements
Category C driving licence
Experience in waste operations and vehicle handling
Physically fit for outdoor manual work in all weather conditions
Strong teamwork and customer service skills
Knowledge of health & safety and environmental practices
Ability to supervise and allocate tasks effectively
You may also be required to support other council services (such as highways) when needed -- full training will be provided.
Hours
Up to 39.5 hours per week (including driver walk-around checks)
Monday to Friday, with additional Saturday work available
Start time: 06:45
