About this opportunity



We are seeking to recruit two energetic and highly motivated individuals, with great customer service skills, these are for a 27 hour position, and a 15.5 hour position, to support our hard working team in Kendal Library.



The 27 hour contract will cover a 2 week shift pattern:

Week 1: Mon 10-5, Tues 9-5, Wed 0, Thurs 9-5, Fri 9-5, Sat 9:30-4

Week 2: Mon 0, Tues 9-5, Wed 0, Thurs 9-5, Fri 9-5, Sat 0



The 15.5 hours contract will cover a 2 week shift pattern:

Week 1: Mon 0, Tues 0, Wed 12-7, Thurs 0, Fri 9-1, Sat 9-4

Week 2: Mon 0, Tues 0, Wed 12:30-7, Thurs 0, Fri 9-5, Sat 0


Your normal working location is Kendal library, but you may be required to work at other library locations if necessary.




It is preferred that the candidate resides within 1 hours travelling distance of their work base.



The role is extremely varied and requires individuals to:
Be the first point of contact for customers. Provide information and deal effectively with customer enquiries, including help with IT enquiries - face to face, over the phone, written and digital. Carry out general library duties, help with the security of buildings and basic health and safety tasks. Support a wide range of events and activities for all ages. Work as part of a team.
