Are you organised, detail-oriented, and passionate about public service? Dudley Council is seeking a proactive and customer-focused Licensing Clerk to join Licensing Services

About the Role

As a Licensing Clerk, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of a high-quality licensing service. You will mainly be responsible for processing applications for taxi and private hire licences, coordinating DBS checks, maintaining accurate records, and providing advice and guidance to applicants and licence holders.
This is a front-line administrative role that contributes directly to public safety and regulatory compliance across the borough.

What We're Looking For

Strong administrative and customer service skills. Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information. Good IT skills and experience using databases and Microsoft Office. Understanding of safeguarding principles and willingness to undertake relevant training. Experience in a regulatory or public service environment is desirable.
