If you're an enthusiastic, motivated and well organised individual with experience of working in administration providing support to a busy multi-disciplined service, then the Licensing Team would love to hear from you.
You will be welcomed into a small but busy and motivated team and will provide a comprehensive administrative and technical support service to the Licensing Team and wider service area. You will often be the first point of contact for our customers by telephone, email, or in person regarding prospective applications, enquiries and complaints relating to taxi/ private hire and caravan site licensing.
Although previous experience of work in relation to licensing is not essential, an administrative background is desirable. If you believe you possess attention to detail and accuracy, experience of working to deadlines and prioritising workloads then this is the position for you. Effective verbal and written communication are essential to this position.
You would also provide additional support to the team on other licensing functions such as alcohol & entertainment and pavement licensing.
The successful candidate will have:
A good level of education
Be able to work under your own initiative
Previous experience of working in administration and ideally Local Authority licensing functions, particularly taxi and caravan site licensing is desirable
Experience of working with administrative procedures and IT systems
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
A flexible attitude to work
The ability to manage a busy but varied workload
