Licensing Technical Officer
Location: Welwyn Hatfield
Hourly rate: 17.85 - 21.38 per hour
Duration: 12 weeks
Hours: 37 hours per week, full time
Location/Hybrid Working: To be confirmed by the Manager
Key Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of licensing law, guidance, policy and procedures, including Taxi Licensing and the Licensing Act
• Understanding of enforcement procedures, relevant law and guidance, including PACE
• Awareness of other local authority services and how they interact with Licensing
• Ability to write clear, accurate letters, reports and emails for communication with customers, elected members, officers and partner agencies such as the Police, Trading Standards, DVSA, HMRC and VOSA
• Excellent written, verbal and listening communication skills
• Ability to maintain accurate notes and records

Special Conditions:

• Current driving licence and access to a vehicle with appropriate business insurance
• Monitoring visits may be required outside standard working hours
