Job Description

We are recruiting for a Female Only Lifeguard at Spen Valley Leisure Centre.

(These posts are open to female candidates only and are covered by Schedule 9 Part 1 of the Equalities Act 2010)

Post 1

The contract will be approximately 27 hours a week and include a mixture of earlies, lates and weekends. This will include a minimum of 4 shifts a week (earlies starting at 6:00am and lates finishing at 10:30pm) - opportunities to pick up additional shifts may also be available.

Post 2 (15 hours)

Week 1

Monday: 15:00-22:30

Wednesday: 16:00-22:30

Saturday: 12:00-19:30

Week 2

Wednesday: 18:00-22:30

Friday: 16:30-22:30

Role Description

If you are willing, you will also be trained in other frontline areas to help take you to the next step up in your career at KAL.

The main purpose of the Lifeguard role is to:

Ensure effective supervision and safety of swimmers and other customers Assist with the setting up, removal and maintenance of sports equipment Ensure our high cleanliness standards are maintained Ensure our customers receive a customer experience which is second to none

To be successful in this role you will have:

A valid RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification A willingness to undertake ongoing training and development A willingness to cover additional hours when needed

We need to make you aware that anyone who is still in compulsory education (last Friday in June in the school year in which someone reaches their 16th birthday) that there are some restrictions in place per this guide here , as such these roles may not be suitable.
