Lifeguard/Swimming Teacher/Fitness Instructor ARE YOU A QUALIFIED SWIMMING TEACHER,LIFEGUARD AND FITNESS INSTRUCTOR? PAY RATE - 13.59 - 14.26 To plan and deliver lessons ensuring adherence to the scheme of work and lesson plans Learn to Swim Framework reward schemes into your classes Ensure safe provision of all equipment and ensure it is used correctly Make sure safety standards are followed in sessions and undertake risk assessments Identify participants' abilities and encourage them to reach their full potential Plan and deliver sessions appropriate to the level of swimmer Provide explanations and demonstrate swimming techniques Correct faults in swimming techniques and identify ways to improve performance To be a positive role model, creating a positive and fun environment in which to motivate and encourage children and adults to participate in swimming Set ground rules for each session Evaluate sessions and give feedback Regularly assess each participant's ability and progress
Applicants must hold a current swimming teacher qualification

If would be beneficial to hold a lifeguard qualification or rescue test for swimming teachers qualification

Employment will be subject to a PVG check

Visions leisure Centre, Cumnock

We are looking for an exceptional team member to work within our team at visions leisure centre. Provide lifeguard duties for learn to swim lessons ranging from non-swimmers to competent swimmers

Supporting with customer queries and resolving any issues on site when possible

Health and safety checks on site

Maintain the facility to a high standard

Liaise with the swimming teachers and coordinator to advise of any issues that arise

Be a positive role model for young people encouraging them to reach their full potential Must hold a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Customer service focused, demonstrates a determined and committed approach to quality of standards and cleanliness Perseverance and patience to encourage and put people at ease Observant, notices customers and anticipates their needs The successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced PVG Check

Pay: Up to 16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 40 per week

Schedule:

10 hour shift 8 hour shift Day shift Monday to Friday Weekend availability
