We have an exciting new opportunity for a Lifelong Programmes Officer to join the Rhodes Trust, Oxford. This role will be a central part of the Lifelong Programmes Team, working on a variety of tasks to deliver a suite of hybrid, in-person and virtual engagement activities, events, fora and programming. This role is varied and provides an opportunity to learn and understand many aspects of the Trust\'s work and ecosystem.

With the launch of the Oxford Next Horizons Programme (ONHP), the successful candidate will be work with the Lifelong Programmes team and Harris Manchester College to support the projects\' implementation and success.

The role

In this role, you will leverage and interact with the extensive and extended Rhodes network of thought, academic, business and government leaders. You will collaborate closely with internal colleagues, including the Events team, the Communications team and the Scholar Affairs team. You will also work with teams representing the Atlantic, Rise and Schmidt Science Fellows to ensure relevant representation from and collaboration with these communities in the Rhodes programmes.

The role will be responsible for;

  • Supporting the planning, design and delivery of the Lifelong Fellowship programme composed of Rhodes Global Forums, alumni talks, workshops, digital sessions and leadership programming for Rhodes Scholars and the general public.
  • Ensuring the communications and promotion strategy of the Lifelong programmes are in place. This entails working with the Rhodes Communications team to prepare invitations and send them out, and updating the Rhodes website and Rhodes Connect platform to ensure the programmes and events latest information is available to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Supporting the Lifelong Programmes team members at on-site, hybrid and virtual initiatives, with participant registration, directing and assisting in-person guests, managing virtual attendees and curating virtual engagement on event management platforms and other general administration tasks as required.
  • Collating, inputting and maintaining data in Salesforce, with a particular focus on event volunteer and attendee data
About you

To be considered for this role you will have significant experience of managing administrative processes for events, as well as the design and delivery of them both in-person and online and/or hybrid. You should also be tech-savvy with proven experience with Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and online event platforms (Zoom, Eventbrite) as well as being willing to learn new platforms. Experience with customer relationship management platforms (such as Salesforce) is desirable, but the ability to manage data and reports is essential.

The ability to prioritise work, meet tight deadlines and balance competing demands is essential and you should also be willing to be flexible with workflows and work hours as we are an international organisation with hubs in the US, Canada, South Africa and Australia and sometimes programmes need to take place outside of normal working hours and days.
