You're a caring, fun-loving person with a passion for helping older people stay fit, active and independent. You're an excellent motivator and an inspiring leader. And you're good at building friendships - so you can get to know residents and create tailored activity plans based on their individual interests and ability. Most of all, you recognise what a vital role activity and exercise can play in the physical and mental well-being of older people. You're willing to go the extra mile with your team to make a big difference to our residents' lives.


Your role

Reporting to the Home Manager, you'll lead a small team of lifestyle co-ordinators. You'll work closely with your team to create interesting, tailored activity plans for every resident. You'll take time to get to know residents and their relatives - to find out which activities or hobbies they find stimulating. You'll also be responsible for organising outside trips for residents and involving the wider community in the home. It's a hugely varied role that's both challenging and rewarding. With quality training and lots of support, we'll help you make a big success of it.

The Willows is a modern, purpose-built care home set in a quiet residential area of Middlesbrough and is sometimes known locally as Woodside Resource Centre. We offer specialist nursing, residential, respite and day care for older people who have Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia.


We also offer a flexible day care service to older people living in the area who have dementia, as well as compassionate and supportive end of life care.


We work hard to make sure residents feel comfortable, settled and happy. Our team at The Willows spend time getting to know residents so that we can provide personalised care and offer the food and activities they like most.


We encourage residents to stay active and there's something for everyone with regular outings, visits from professional entertainers and activities such as painting, memory games and card making.
