Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Lift Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for diagnosing faults, performing repairs, and conducting routine maintenance during busy periods across a variety of lift installations.
You will be expected to deliver high-quality workmanship, maintain strong customer relationships, and represent HLS professionally during both planned and reactive callouts -- particularly during periods of high demand.

Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and rectify lift faults efficiently and safely.
Carry out repairs to lifts, ensuring full functionality and compliance with regulations.
Conduct routine maintenance in line with service schedules (in high demand periods)
Respond promptly to breakdowns and callouts, maintaining clear communication with the office team.
Complete all necessary reports and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Work independently and manage time effectively within assigned areas.
Maintain a strong focus on health and safety procedures.
Support colleagues and contribute positively to the wider engineering team.

Key Requirements
Proven experience in lift maintenance, fault finding, and repair.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
Full UK driving licence.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work under pressure and adapt during high-demand periods.
Commitment to safety, reliability, and high standards of workmanship.

Desirable
Knowledge of multiple lift manufacturer control systems.
Experience with both passenger and goods lifts.
NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering (or equivalent). Can be provided for the right candidate
