We're on the lookout for a motivated individual eager to kickstart or further their career in lift engineering. As a Trainee/Improver, you'll work alongside experienced engineers, gaining hands-on experience in lift maintenance, repairs, and modernisation across various types of vertical transportation systems.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with routine servicing and safety checks on all types of lifts
Support experienced engineers on fault diagnostics and repairs
Learn to interpret technical schematics and manuals
Maintain tools and equipment in good working order
Comply with health and safety regulations at all times
Engage in training and development to progress toward full engineer status
Skills & Qualifications
A genuine interest in mechanical and electrical systems
Basic understanding of tools and machinery
Strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn
Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
Full UK driving licence preferred
Relevant engineering or electrical qualification with both an NC & SVQ3 level in electrical/electronics is essential.
