As we continue to grow, we are seeking a

dedicated Light Commercial Mechanic

to take responsibility for the servicing and maintenance of our fleet of commercial vans--vehicles that play a vital role in delivering and installing products for our customers.

Role Overview

As Brackenwood's Light Commercial Mechanic, you will ensure our fleet of installation vans are safe, compliant, and operating at peak performance. This is a hands-on, on-site position based at our Head Office in Basingstoke, supporting the daily operations of a busy, customer-focused installation business.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out maintenance, servicing, and repairs on Brackenwood's fleet of commercial vans (up to Class 7). Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, and fault finding to ensure vehicles remain roadworthy and compliant. Maintain service schedules and accurate records of all work completed. Ensure all vehicles are kept in excellent condition to support efficient installation operations. Work closely with internal teams to minimise vehicle downtime and support operational needs. Maintain a safe, organised environment aligned with company standards.

Requirements

Light Commercial Mechanic qualification, up to Class 7.

NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance or Repair - essential.

Full UK Driving Licence and Category B Licence - essential.

Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to work independently. Reliable, proactive, and committed to maintaining Brackenwood's high standards. Excellent attention to detail and a safety-first mindset.
