Giving you the opportunity to become the best skilled Service Technician for the future enabling you to deal with the complex technology for the future vehicles, where career options Position Type Apprenticeship Salary £0 NotApplicable Working Week Monday to Friday 08:30-17:30 Vacancy description You will be working on vehicles such cars or light commercial vehicles. Duties will include carrying out servicing, fault finding, repair of vehicles, operating specialist equipment and all other associated tasks. Training is not all hands on, we believe that learning to use a computer and understanding the theory behind the role is as important as using a spanner. You will attend college as part of this apprenticeship. This will be day release throughout the apprenticeship term time only at Cardiff & Vale College, Dumballs road. Day release will commence Sept 2021. Requirements and prospects
Qualifications Required Must have 2 GCSE qualifications at Grade A-C , or equivalent Essential Skills Wales Qualifications at level 2 in Application of Number & Communications. Predicted grades will be taken into consideration. Remit Assessments and interviews will be carried by Remit prior to being introduced to the company for interview. Skills Required Looking for a career within the automotive industry Has a passion in cars or in the automotive industry in general. Can demonstrate your interest from your interests/hobbies/previous experience/qualifications. Driven, focused and hands on person will fit nicely into existing team of technicians. Personal Qualities The successful applicant will be confident, self-motivated and keen to work as part of a team. Having an interest in working in the automotive and engineering industries and inquisitive nature and a desire to fix things are just as important as academic achievements. Future Prospects Progression onto level 3 ( Diagnostics) Other Information It is an absolute must that the person applying has their OWN transport. This location in Llandow is not accessible by public transport. Please do not apply unless you live within walking distance or you have access to your own transport.
