Renowned for customer service, Big Sky works closely with the fashion, beauty, entertainment, automotive and F&B industries offering a unique range of premium facilities, services and expertise to enable and create 360 content. This ranges from advertising campaigns, elevated ecommerce, social, gaming, editorial, film, TV and theatre production, alongside in person and virtual activations such as events, experiences and exhibitions.
Based in central London, Big Sky comprises 15 studios and stages, spanning 75,000 sq ft over 5 different sites offering traditional white coves, green screens, blank canvases, virtual production suites with green screen and LED walls alongside a unique rooftop studio with undisturbed London Skyline views. To enable our spaces, we offer in-house services of lighting, digital, catering, set-build and post production, alongside a full service ecom and social content agency.
ROLE OVERVIEW
An exciting opportunity to join a rapidly expanding lighting department both within Big Sky Studios and on location shoots.
We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic person looking to join a fast paced and exciting working environment. We are looking for an individual wanting to further their technical experience as well as develop relationships across a broad range of clientele.
Ideally, you will be a proactive self-starter who is highly organised, a strong communicator and works well in a very busy environment. A candidate will be eager to grow to be a key member of the company.
REPORTING
? The role will report to the Equipment Manager.
? Packing & Clearing equipment
? Testing and inspection of professional stills and motion equipment
? Driving company vehicles to deliver or collect equipment
? Client facing - respond and support daily client requests from studios
? Stock checking equipment, consumables and spare parts
? General maintenance and upkeep of equipment
? Reporting equipment issues to Lighting management team
SKILLS
? Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
? Keen to learn and always be up to date with any developments within the industry.
? Passion for professional development.
? Ability to fluidly and confidently work in ambiguous situations.
? Excellent attention to detail.
? Strong team player
? Clean UK driving licence desirable
EXPERIENCE
? Undergraduate level education or equivalent.
? Minimum 1 years of experience in a professional photographic / film equipment rental house or similar.
? Knowledge of professional flash / continuous lighting equipment.
Training will be provided to the successful candidate.
