Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Chef to join our kitchen team to serve our 120 cover restaurant with additional outside areas in a site that currently holds a 5 star health rating. The ideal candidate will have a background in food production and preparation, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes. As a Line Chef, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen operates efficiently and effectively, contributing to a great dining experience for our guests and becoming a well-respected member of staff.

Duties

Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to the restaurant's menu and standards using fresh ingredients Manage food production processes, ensuring that all dishes are prepared in a timely manner. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations. Assist in menu planning and development, bringing creative ideas to enhance offerings. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during busy periods. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist in ordering as needed. Uphold the highest standards of hospitality, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Line Cook or in a similar culinary role within the restaurant industry. Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques and food preparation methods. Supervising experience is preferred, demonstrating leadership abilities in a kitchen environment. Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations is essential. Excellent team management skills, fostering a positive work atmosphere. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Previous experience in hospitality is advantageous, showcasing customer service skills. A passion for cooking and creativity in the kitchen is highly valued.
