We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Line Chef to join our California Cafe team. As a Line Chef, you will play a crucial role in food preparation and production, ensuring that all meals are prepared to the highest standards of taste and presentation. Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Assist in the supervision of kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to management. Participate in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes. Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and cleaned after use. Adhere to health and safety standards while working in the kitchen environment.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Line Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety practices. Previous supervisory experience is an advantage, with demonstrated team management skills. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset. A passion for cooking with an eagerness to learn new culinary skills. Familiarity with various cuisines is desirable but not essential.
