Duties
Prepare, cook, and present dishes in accordance with restaurant standards and recipes
Oversee food production processes to ensure quality and consistency
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations
Manage food safety protocols, including hygiene standards and proper storage procedures
Assist in training new team members in food preparation and safety procedures
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment and work surfaces
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery
Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to minimise waste
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations within a busy restaurant environment
Supervising experience or team management skills
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Excellent culinary skills with an eye for detail and presentation
Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide contributing to a thriving hospitality setting.
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: 12.50-13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
