We are a high-quality, fresh-food gastro pub group committed to delivering seasonal, innovative dishes and unforgettable guest experiences. This role is part of our next site takeover, which presents an exciting opportunity for the right Line Chef to help shape the kitchen from the ground up and set the standard for what this venue can become.
As an expanding business, we offer genuine long-term progression. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow with us, taking on greater responsibility across future sites and playing a key role in developing and steering the culinary direction of multiple venues.
Our operations are dynamic and varied -- we regularly run functions for up to 200 people, sometimes up to three times a day, offering a mix of plated meals and buffets alongside a busy 100-cover restaurant. This requires a confident, organised and forward-thinking Line Chef who thrives in a fast-paced, high-quality environment.
Duties
Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to established recipes and standards
Ensuring smooth operation during service hours
Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in all areas of the kitchen
Manage food production processes efficiently to meet customer demand
Oversee food presentation and ensure consistency across dishes served
Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and minimise waste
Support the training of new kitchen staff and interns as required
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Requirements
Proven experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment, with a strong focus on food preparation and cooking
Supervising experience or team management skills are highly desirable
Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen setting
Strong leadership qualities and the ability to motivate team members
Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork
Previous experience in food production, culinary arts, or hospitality is preferred
A genuine passion for food, service excellence, and continuous learning within the culinary industry
