MEZCAL GLASGOW FORT : We are seeking Line Cooks to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong food preparation skills, a passion for cooking, and experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary talents while contributing to a welcoming hospitality setting. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining kitchen standards, and supporting team management efforts.

Duties



Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to established recipes and standards Ensure all food is prepared safely and in compliance with food safety regulations Assist in supervising junior kitchen staff and support team management activities Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area throughout shifts Monitor food quality and presentation before serving Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction Manage food production during busy periods, ensuring efficiency and consistency Support inventory management by assisting with stock checks and storage organisation Uphold high standards of hygiene, safety, and cleanliness in the kitchen environment

Requirements



Proven experience in a professional kitchen or restaurant setting, with a strong background in food preparation and cooking Supervising experience or leadership skills are highly desirable Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations Ability to work effectively within a team and manage multiple tasks efficiently Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and quality control Strong understanding of culinary techniques and hospitality practices Previous experience in food production, restaurant service, or catering environments is preferred Flexibility to work during peak hours, including evenings and weekends as required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 13.31 per hour

Expected hours: 36 - 45 per week
