Overview

We are looking for an energetic and skilled

Line Chef

to join our kitchen team at The Drewitt-Barlow Stadium. The successful candidate will work across our fast-paced kitchen, preparing and serving high-quality food including

burgers, pies, chips, and traditional Sunday carvery meals

. You'll play a key role in delivering a consistent, efficient, and enjoyable dining experience to our supporters, guests, and visiting teams.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, cook, and present menu items to a high standard in a busy kitchen environment. Operate fryers, grills, ovens, and carvery equipment safely and efficiently. Support matchday and event catering including fast-food service and carvery operations. Ensure all food is prepared in line with food safety and hygiene regulations (HACCP). Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and food preparation areas. Assist in restocking ingredients, managing portion control, and minimising waste. Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure timely service. Support menu development and specials where appropriate. Comply with all health & safety procedures and allergen protocols.

Essential Skills & Experience

Proven experience in a fast-paced kitchen or carvery environment. Good understanding of food hygiene and safety standards (Level 2 Food Safety certificate preferred). Ability to work efficiently under pressure, especially on matchdays and events. Strong teamwork, reliability, and communication skills. Passion for food presentation and customer satisfaction.

Desirable

Experience in sports or event catering. Carvery and grill experience. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and matchdays.

Pay: 26,420.00-35,000.00 per year
