Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment Assist in food plating and presentation to uphold visual standards Follow food safety and hygiene regulations diligently to ensure compliance Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods Supervise junior staff members when required, providing guidance and support in food production and safety procedures Manage stock levels, report shortages, and assist with inventory control as needed

Qualifications

Proven experience in food production, cooking, or kitchen roles within a restaurant or hospitality setting Supervising experience or team management skills are highly desirable Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food preparation and presentation Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide team members Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork Previous restaurant experience, including serving or hospitality roles, will be considered an advantage
