Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Supervise kitchen staff during food production to ensure efficiency and quality. Assist in managing kitchen operations, including inventory control and stock management. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours. Monitor food quality throughout the cooking process, making adjustments as necessary. Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.

Skills

Proven experience in food production, with a strong background in cooking and kitchen operations. Supervising experience is highly desirable, demonstrating leadership within a culinary environment. Excellent team management skills, fostering a positive work atmosphere among staff. Strong culinary skills with an understanding of various cooking techniques and cuisines. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations to ensure compliance in the kitchen. Previous restaurant experience is preferred, showcasing familiarity with fast-paced environments. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also taking initiative when required. A passion for hospitality and creating memorable dining experiences for guests.
