Overview

We are looking for a Line Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of food safety practices. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, contributing to the overall hospitality experience we provide to our guests.

This role is only a part - time position and we looking for someone who can also do some front of house work on the bar and restaurant.

Great for someone who is looking to start out in the pub business and learn the kitchen and bar side of the business.

Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Assist in the supervision of kitchen staff, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the kitchen. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely food production and service. Help manage inventory, including ordering supplies as needed and minimising waste. Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols. Keep workstations clean and organised, adhering to health regulations at all times. Help out in the bar and restaurant.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, particularly in food preparation or line cooking roles. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential. Experience in supervising or leading a team within a hospitality setting is advantageous. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork are crucial for success in this role.
