We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Line Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. As a Line Chef, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring food safety standards are met. Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards
Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff during shifts, ensuring efficient workflow
Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and controlling food costs
Oversee food safety and sanitation practices in compliance with health regulations
Assist in menu planning and development to enhance culinary offerings
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to uphold quality standards
Collaborate with restaurant management on shift management and operational improvements
Ensure timely service delivery during busy periods, especially during catering or banquet events
Monitor food quality and presentation before serving to guests
Skills
Extensive culinary experience, including fine dining or catering environments
Proven supervising or team management experience in a kitchen setting
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation standards
Experience with inventory management and control systems
Skilled in food preparation, cooking techniques, and menu planning
Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide team members
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and quality control
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of dietary requirements and accommodations for special diets
Experience in restaurant or hospitality settings, including restaurant management or food service management is preferred
