Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards Assist in food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and assembling ingredients Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with health and safety regulations Supervise junior kitchen staff where necessary, providing guidance and support Manage food stock levels, ensuring ingredients are fresh and properly stored Collaborate with front-of-house staff to deliver exceptional service Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal quality and safety standards are upheld Contribute to menu development by suggesting new ideas based on current culinary trends

Experience

Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant setting Supervising experience or team management skills are highly desirable Extensive knowledge of food production, preparation, and cooking techniques Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices Previous hospitality or serving experience is advantageous but not essential Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to motivate team members Familiarity with restaurant operations and customer service standards
