We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role requires a strong understanding of food preparation techniques, adherence to food safety standards, and the ability to work collaboratively within a kitchen team.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Assist in meal preparation, ensuring all ingredients are fresh and of high quality.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including utensils and equipment.
Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all customers.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a cook or in a similar role within a restaurant setting.
Strong knowledge of food preparation methods and culinary techniques.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
