You'll be instrumental in crafting our award-winning mattresses for home, leisure, and contract markets, playing a key role in bringing comfort to our customers.

With a recent multi-million-pound investment in our Heckmondwike facility, we are significantly increasing our manufacturing output and looking for skilled individuals to support our continued growth.

Are you a proactive and organised individual with a keen eye for detail? The Raskelf Group is seeking a dedicated Feeder/Progress Chaser to join our mattress production team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring our production lines run smoothly and efficiently by providing timely and accurate material delivery to our Clippers, Builders/Tapers, and Tufters.

Key Responsibilities:

Material Distribution: Accurately distribute panels, borders, and labels to Clippers and Tapers based on production priority. Spring and Insulator Pad Management: Work closely with goods-in staff to open and supply various springs and insulator pads to clippers according to the mattress model being produced. Timely Supply: Ensure all necessary materials are cut and ready for the production start time. Problem Solving: Actively address day-to-day issues and contribute to finding effective solutions to maintain production flow. Workflow Management: Continuously monitor and manage the picking run, moving to the next batch of work promptly to prevent production slowdowns or stoppages. Manual Handling: Utilize trolleys and bins to safely and efficiently transport multiple components, minimizing manual handling. Equipment Operation: Safely operate forklift trucks or use steps for any materials required above head height. Support for Roll Packing: Assist with customer product requirements for palletisation or stillage placement in roll packing. This operation should be monitored and managed with care. Housekeeping: Maintain clear aisles and ensure empty poly bags, strappings, and other waste are promptly cleared away. Housekeeping is a very important part of this role and must be kept up to date. General Duties: Undertake any other duties reasonably requested to ensure the efficient running of the business.

What We're Looking For:

A strong commitment to quality and attention to detail. An understanding of and adherence to health and safety procedures. Good physical dexterity and the ability to handle products safely, including two-man lifts for heavy items. Reliability, punctuality, and a proactive approach to maintaining a clean work environment. Counterbalance FLT licence is a must, Reach Licence preferred, but training will be given to the right candidate The ability to work effectively with schedules and communicate clearly. A positive attitude and a commitment to excellence.

What we offer:

Full time - 38.5 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 7am till 4pm, with 1 pm finish on a Friday

Weekly Pay

12.25 per hour
